Description: | The University of Georgia Chapter of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research
Society, is holding a special program on Wednesday, February 8, 2005 in Room
201 of the Ecology Building on the UGA campus from 12:00-1:10 p.m. This
program is designed to inform undergraduate and graduate students in all
areas of the sciences and engineering of the Grants-in-Aid of Research
(GIAR) program sponsored by the national Sigma Xi organization. The entire
program should last approximately 1 hour and consists of an overview of the
application process and a presentation by Dr. Anthony Glenn, UGA chapter
Past President, who has served as a reviewer for the GIAR applications for
several years. Papa John's pizza and other refreshments will be provided to
those in attendance. This special program is being held prior to the
upcoming March 15, 2006 application deadline for proposals. |
