Description: | The Parks, Recreation, & Tourism program at the University of Maine has a 12-month M.S. or Ph.D. graduate research assistantship available starting Fall 2006. The successful candidate will conduct research related to natural resources and outdoor recreation management from a social science perspective. Research will involve the study of communications, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors in tourism-dependent and forest-dependent communities. Opportunities to develop skills in both quantitative surveys, and qualitative interviews and focus groups exist. |
Salary: | Stipends of $12,434 for M.S. students and $13,302 for PhD students |
