Other: | Applicants for Intern Program positions must meet
the following requirements in order to qualify for the program: 1) At the time an application is completed
and submitted, the applicant must be a full-time student and must currently be enrolled at a college,
university, or vocational-technical school. 2) By the time the internship is to start, applicants must have
completed their entire freshman year at their college or university (be classified as a sophomore) or have
completed not less than one year of study at their vocational-technical school. Some positions may have
additional preferences that are above and beyond the program's minimum requirements.
Applicants must be a full time student at a college or university and have sophomore
standing or above by the end of the Spring 2006 semester, or must currently be enrolled at a vocationaltechnical
school and have completed one year (nine months) by the start of the internship. Preference will
be given to applicants with forestry related coursework, land surveying, and technical writing.

Description: | Intern will work with service foresters in the Black Hills area on field and
office work such as marking bark beetle infested trees and stands, property line location, providing
assistance to landowners, data entry, bark beetle projects, GIS work, map preparation, and general
maintenance.
