Description: | These are seasonal positions. The incumbent will be in pay status for 20
pay periods and in non-pay status for 6 pay periods.
The USDA Forest Service has legislative authority to recruit and fill
Permanent (Career-Conditional), and Term Appointments under the USDA
Demonstration Project. Under this Project, interested individuals need
not have present or previous status as a Federal employee in order to
apply.
DUTIES:(The duties described reflect the full performance level of this
position)
Conducts fixed radius plot inventories on a systematic forest inventory
grid, collecting and editing plot data as described in written protocols
form regional and national field guides.
Receives formal and on-the-job training in the practical application of
techniques and methods used to conduct statewide multi-resource forest
inventories.
As a trainee, increases knowledge, skills, and abilities in performing
work as a professional forester. Successfully completes required formal
and on-the-job training and accomplishes assignments with increasing
independence.

Salary: | $28,349.00 - $45,648.00 Annual |
