Required Attributes: Knowledge of procurement operations. Ability to administer contracts. Communicate and follow-through with paperwork. Able to meet deadlines and establish priorities. Qualifications: Personal computer, negotiation, accounting, communication, surveying, topography, environmental guidelines and administrative skills. Forestry and technical knowledge such as cruising, stumpage market dynamics, understanding competitors and their business, knowledge of soils, silviculture and harvesting. BS Degree in Forestry or Masters Degree with emphasis in forestry related activities. Willingness to work at various Florida locations. Dimensions/Behavior: Decisiveness, teamwork, listening, planning and organizing, quality awareness, attention to detail, and resilience.

We have a professional forester position available in our Wood & Fiber Procurement Group in Florida. Our operations support a paper mill, plywood mill, and two CNS mills.

Purchase wood in a specified area to support Hawthorne Plywood Mill, Cross City CNS Mill, Palatka CNS Mill, and Palatka Paper Mill.
Management of wood flows from purchase at plant deals.
Stumpage evaluation and acquisition from landowners.
Administrative duties of tracking and forecasting volumes and cost.
Building business relationships both internal and outside G-P.
