Other: | Bachelor's degree in Forest Management, or a related natural resource field preferred. Considerable previous work experience and technical knowledge related to BMPs and soil and water interaction; knowledge of the Silvicultural Water Quality Law and the Administrative Process Act; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with loggers, landowners, members of the forest products industry, and other state, Federal, and local agencies; demonstrated excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; experience making effective oral presentations; proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office software; ability to negotiate different types of forested terrain on foot; valid driver's license; and ability to effectively and efficiently work as a member of a team of diverse individuals required. Position requires travel throughout the state with overnight stays. A fingerprint-based criminal history check is required for final candidate.
