This position requires frequent night meetings, some weekend work, attendance at out-of-county meetings, driver's license and a personal vehicle for official duty travel. A travel allowance will be provided.

Administrative Relationships: Is a UGA Public Service Faculty Member and a member of the Gwinnett County Extension Staff. Is under the direction and leadership of the Gwinnett County Extension Coordinator and the Northwest District Extension Head.

Description:
1. Plans and conducts informal educational programs in production agriculture and related areas in English
and Spanish languages.
2. Utilizes the expertise of advisory groups, community leaders, public officials and representatives of
intended audiences to analyze data, identify needs and assist in developing educational programs directed
toward Latino audiences.
3. Develops plan of work that is equitable in meeting the needs of the varied county socioeco~tomic
situations. Targets Latino audiences for educational programs addressing critical issues identified in plan ~f
work. Implements Cooperative Extension Service CWAEEO Plan.
4. Collaborates with Latino agencies and community groups to implernenf programs.
5. Conducts promotional efforts to expand the public's view of extension programming directed to Latino
audiences.
6. Demonstrates personal interest and involvement in community by participating in and supporting
civic/community activitieslorgan'kations and networking with community leaders.
7. Develops programs for commercial landscape firms, focusing on a Latino workforce including translatrng
extension publications into Spanish.
Salary:
$36,000 minimum
Benefits:
$36,000 minimum for Master's degree in appropriate subject
area. An excellent benefits package is available as a faculty member of the
University of Georgia.
