Description:
Assists in the conservation and management of wildlife resources on lands used primarily for military training. Collects and assembles data from harvested wildlife for use in determining population levels. Determines the sex, weights, age and physical condition of harvested wildlife. Marks/remarks endangered species habitat sites with paint, signs and flagging materials. Performs routine maintenance of Red-cockaded Woodpecker cavity trees through manual removal of juxtaposed vegetation and control burning. Performs nightly beach monitoring for nesting sea turtles. Records biological information from nesting sea turtles and tags individual turtle following established guidelines. Maintains and repairs nest boxes for songbirds and migratory waterfowl. Records and maintains accurate records of information and biological data collected. Assists in the review, analysis and reporting of the various data collected.
