Individuals with a major in wildlife biology/natural resource
management/conservation are preferred coupled with an interest in
political science. Knowledge of how the federal and/or state government
functions is helpful, but not essential. An interest in hunting,
fishing, and outdoor recreation is also desirable. A person need not be
a student to qualify for this internship. |

Description: | Interns will split their time evenly between TWS and NASC. Most
of the intern’s time will be spent tracking state and federal
legislation that impacts hunting, fishing, and wildlife conservation,
writing and assisting with the preparation of the NASC email newsletter
and TWS’s publications and providing timely information to state
legislative caucuses. In addition time will be spent serving as a
liaison to TWS Chapters and State Sportsmen’s Caucuses. Further
activities will depend upon the ability and interest of each intern and
the need of TWS and NASC. |
