Description: | Introduction
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is seeking a college level student to assist with public outreach, environmental education, and wildlife interpretation projects at Seedskadee NWR and Cokeville Meadows NWR. Seedskadee is located along a 37 mile extent of the Green River, encompassing 26,000 acres of riverine, riparian, wetland and high dessert upland habitat. The recently established Cokeville Meadows NWR is located along the upper reach of the Bear River and contains riparian and wetland habitat.
Duties
The incumbent will assist refuge managers and biologists with daily refuge operations and public use programs to gain skills and experience in wildlife conservation outreach, interpretation, and environmental education. Duties will include: assisting with the development and presentation of environmental education programs (grade school and high school), developing public information brochures (hunting/fishing, wildlife observation), planning and conducting public outreach events (International Migratory Bird Day, Resource Rendezvous, Take A Kid Fishing Day), designing interpretative panels for Refuge kiosks, and assisting with the build of new interpretative center exhibits.
