The UGA Forestry Club welcomes you to Athens and to Warnell. We hope you have a great time at this year's Southern Forestry Conclave.
Event Lodging
Arrangements have been made for a reduced rate with InTown Suites, the closest lodging to the Conclave site (2044 S. Milledge Ave., 706 355-3121). The InTown Suites is convenient, only about 2 miles from the Whitehall Forest which is at the end of S. Milledge Ave. Our contact there is Gabrielle VanSweringen. Tell her you're with the Forestry Conclave. InTown Suites usually rents on a weekly basis, but since we're not getting in until Thursday the rate will be a total charge of $169.19 for the week, taxes included, for a suite with 2 double beds. So with 4 student occupancy that's only $14 per student per night. The suites are not luxurious, but are clean, adequate, and inexpensive. Each has a stove and refrigerator plus TV, HBO, and WiFi. Please note a $50 deposit applies to each room that is refunded on checkout.We encourage each school to consider staying at the InTown.
We will have a campsite set up for any school that wants to camp. Water, portable toilets, and a shower facility will be provided. The campsite will be within easy walking distance of the Conclave headquarters (Flinchum's Phoenix) and the main Conclave event field.
