The Forestry Club is designed to help students
learn more about their future careers while having fun and socializing
with people of similar interests. Pre-professional, professional, and graduate
students attend biweekly meetings to listen to speakers from a variety of forestry
professions. Food, refreshments and chances to meet other students are provided. The
club is also involved in environmental outreach and education, FFA Field Days and
participation in an annual intercollegiate conclave event. The Forestry Club is an
informative, yet relaxed, way to find out about issues and opportunities in forest
resources. The club is the oldest at the Warnell School of Forest Resources, being
founded in 1914. The school is open to all majors, not just forestry.
