Mission/Goals:
The mission of the University of Georgia Student Chapter of
The Wildlife Society is to create a forum for wildlife professionals
and students to exchange knowledge and discuss current wildlife conservation
issues. The goal of our organization is to provide opportunities for
experience in the field of wildlife biology and research and to serve
the community through education and management of wildlife resources.
Our Parent Organization:
The Wildlife
Society is an international, nonprofit organization comprised
of professionals serving the resource management fields, especially
wildlife conservation and management. TWS strives for “excellence in wildlife
stewardship through science and education.” Founded in 1937
and based in Bethesda, Maryland, The Wildlife Society has more than
9,000 professional and student members. 2004-2005 Officers:
