Welcome to the Warnell Graduate Student Association!

Our purpose is to enhance educational and professional development opportunities for Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources students; to facilitate social and scholarly interaction among graduate students of the diverse disciplines within Warnell, as well as between graduate students and faculty; and to serve as an advocacy organization for graduate student concerns.

To achieve these goals, we:

  • Send representatives to the UGA Graduate Student Association meetings to voice the positions of graduate students within the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources
  • Attend Warnell faculty meetings and report on the proceedings
  • Hold an annual Graduate Symposium for Warnell students
  • Raise funds for WGSA and charitable causes through an annual Silent Auction
  • Sponsor a forum on "Getting into Graduate School" for undergraduate students
  • Organize other events according to the interests of the Warnell graduate student body
