The Herpetological Society

At the university of georgia

Herpetology is the study of reptiles and amphibians.  The herpetological society at the University of Georgia is a student led organization open to anyone within and outside the University of Georgia community.  The society was founded in 2005 with three goals; to learn, to teach, and to conserve.  UGHS serves as a conduit for knowledge, promotes professional growth, provides opportunities for public service, outreach, and fellowship in the field of herpetology.  UGHS is based in and partially funded by the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, but includes members and officers from all across the campus.
