Meeting Presentations Now Available

The Southern Forest Economics Workers (SOFEW) 2008 Annual Meeting will be hosted by the University of Georgia's Center for Forest Business in Savannah, GA, from March 9 to 11, 2008. The theme of this year's workshop is Forestland Ownership Change in the South: Implications for Management, Production, and Conservation. This will be an excellent opportunity to hear about the latest forest economics research on issues relevant for southern forestry, with focus on discussing how the rapid and massive ownership changes will impact reforestation, management, wood cost and availability, supply chain logistics, fire protection, and conservation.

Founded in 1733 as Georgia’s first city, Savannah is brimming with Old South history and hospitality.  Whether you and your guest are interested in history, shopping, nightlife, architecture, or art and culture, there is something for everyone in Savannah.  To learn more about Savannah’s upcoming events, local attractions, nightlife, shopping, guided tours and more, visit http://savcvb.com/.
