Meeting Presentations Now Available
The Southern Forest Economics Workers (SOFEW) 2008 Annual Meeting will be hosted by the University of Georgia's Center for Forest Business in Savannah, GA, from March 9 to 11, 2008. The theme of this year's workshop is Forestland Ownership Change in the South: Implications for Management, Production, and Conservation. This will be an excellent opportunity to hear about the latest forest economics research on issues relevant for southern forestry, with focus on discussing how the rapid and massive ownership changes will impact reforestation, management, wood cost and availability, supply chain logistics, fire protection, and conservation.

Register before February 18, 2008 for only $195. The early rate for students is $95. After February 18, registration is $225 for regular attendees and $125 for students. Registration includes all receptions, coffee breaks, lunch on Monday, and a paper copy of the proceedings, to be mailed after the conference. Guest registration is $50 and includes attendance at both receptions.
