Plant crops early enough to mature two weeks before opening day. The label on the seed bag will tell how many days it takes the variety to mature. For a long-lasting field, plant portions of fields in crops at different times so that finished seed will be available over a long period of time. Ask your county Extension agent for advice on planting dates.
