Planting a Dove Field

The better you plan and care for your crop the more seed it will produce. The basic steps are to:

• prepare soil by tilling to eliminate weeds,
• select a variety adapted to your area,
• test soil and lime if necessary,
• plant seed at the proper rate and depth, and
• fertilize properly.
