Center Use Policy

Who May Use the Center

Mary Kahrs Warnell Forest Education Center is available for use by conservation and natural resource professionals, forest landowners, and Georgia citizens interested in learning more about forestry, responsible forest management, wildlife and environmental education

Reservations

All reservations must be scheduled and coordinated through the Center Director. Contact Gail Lutowski at (912) 330-0531 to schedule your event.

Please schedule your event at least 2 weeks prior to the date you wish to use the Center.

The Group Use Request Form must be returned within 10 days from the date of the request in order to retain reservations.

Responsibilities

The requesting Contact Person for the group is responsible for picking up and returning keys to the Center. The Contact Person must be present during the function and ensure that proper cleanup is accomplished afterwards. All trash must be removed from the premises at the end of the function. All materials, food, etc. must be removed immediately following the function. Vehicles cannot be left overnight.

Fees

There are currently no fees for the use of the Mary Kahrs Warnell Forest Education Center. Be aware that this could change at any time.

Refreshments

Refreshments are not provided by the Center. However, we do have a kitchen available for your use. Please notify the Center director if you plan on having an event catered or if you plan on cooking outdoors so proper arrangements can be made.
