Symposium on Conservation and Management of Big-eared Bats in the Eastern United States

Symposium Proceedings

Authors of presented papers may submit a manuscript for possible inclusion in the symposium proceedings. Manuscripts submitted for possible inclusion will undergo a formal editorial and peer-review process to determine final acceptability. Click here for a description of the editorial process (PDF).

The proceedings will be published by the U.S. Forest Service Southern Research Station as a General Technical Report. Authors must closely adhere to the Instructions for Authors (PDF) guidelines when preparing manuscripts. The hardcopy publication will be black and white, although the online publication may include color. Poster abstracts also will be published in the proceedings.

Manuscripts must be submitted by 12:00 pm March 10, 2010 (end of the Big-Eared Bat Symposium). Early submissions are encouraged.

To ensure timely publication of the proceedings, the Editorial Committee has established the following timeline:

Deadline to submit manuscripts (no exceptions): March 10, 2010

Manuscripts sent out for review: April 15, 2010

Manuscripts due back from reviewers: June 15, 2010

Manuscripts returned to authors for revision: July 15, 2010

Revised manuscripts due to Associate Editor: September 15, 2010

Manuscripts to Southern Research Station for Publication: November 15, 2010

Final publication available: April 2011
