Presenter Information
The symposium will include invited, contributed, and poster presentations. We invite submission of abstracts for contributed papers and posters on topics related to biology, ecology, conservation, and management of Ozark, Virginia, and Rafinesque’s big-eared bats. Contributed papers should present complete data sets. Abstracts presenting preliminary data should be submitted as posters.
Contributed papers (oral presentations) will be scheduled for 20 minutes, allowing 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions. Only Microsoft PowerPoint may be used for presentations.
Abstracts submitted as contributed papers will be evaluated by a review panel for technical merit and overall contribution to the knowledge of eastern big-eared bats. The panel will determine acceptability of each abstract as an oral presentation at the symposium. Abstracts not accepted as a contributed paper can be presented as posters.
Poster abstracts will not receive extensive review, but will be evaluated to ensure that the material presented is appropriate for the symposium. There will be a designated poster session on Wednesday afternoon when authors are requested to attend their posters. Posters should not exceed 48 inches in either dimension.
Abstract Submission
Abstract submission for oral and poster presentation opens July 1, 2009. Oral presentation abstracts will be accepted until September 15, 2009 and abstracts for poster presentations will be accepted until October 15, 2009. Abstracts should be submitted via e-mail to Steven Castleberry.

The abstract body should be a single paragraph without author/date citations. Special characters compatible with Microsoft Word may be used.
