Page 151, equation 4.1 should read: log N = log k - aD log e

Page 151, equation 4.3 should read: q = ke(-aD) / ke (-a(D+2)) = e2a

Page 152, top of page should read: "..for each 2-inch-diameter classes D and D+2, and q = ea for each 1-inch-diameter classes D and D+1."

Page 152, 5th from the top of the page: "...for D = 20 and D+1 = 22..." should read "...for D = 20 and D+2 = 22..."

Page 169, top of the page: The numerator inside the square root of equation 4.10 should read "the sum from i=1 to N. The value "N" on top of the square root sign should therefore be placed on top of the sigma (sum sign) in the square root equation, and removed from above the square root equation. Another option for determining the quadratic mean diamater is to find the average basal area of all trees, and divide it by 0.005454. Then, take the square root of this value to arrive at the quadratic mean diameter. Try calculating it both ways in a spreadsheet. You should arrive at the same answer.

Page 170, Equation 4.14: The exponent for the equation should be "1.605" rather than "1.065."

Page 177, Question 4.1: "Growth = V2 - V1, + C" should be "Growth = V2 - V1 + C"
